Skydance Paramount Will Remove Approximately 2,000 United States Roles – Update

Skydance Paramount will start large-scale job cuts beginning on 27 October, eliminating about 2,000 positions in the United States under a cost-cutting plan worth $2bn overseen by CEO David Ellison.

These job cuts follow the merger of Skydance Media and Paramount Global, finalized during August worth $8.4bn.

Further overseas workforce reductions are anticipated, with Paramount Skydance intending to announce complete information via its Q3 financial results set for the 10th of November.

Prior news stated that Paramount was looking to eliminate between 2,000 and 3,000 positions by the beginning of next month.

As of December 2024, the organization retained almost 18,600 permanent and temporary staff along with 3,500 temporary project employees.

Paramount Skydance has not provided a response on the matter.
