Two Individuals Charged for Inmate Homicide of Former Lostprophets Frontman Ian Watkins
A pair of suspects stand accused of murder in the wake of the jailhouse death of ex-Lostprophets frontman and found guilty of child sex crimes Ian Watkins.
The two men, Rashid Gedel (25) and Samuel Dodsworth (43) have both been charged with murder and are scheduled to appear in Leeds magistrates’ court on Monday morning, per police authorities.
Watkins, forty-eight, was serving a 29-year sentence at HMP Wakefield, alongside six more years under supervision, after admitting a string of sex offences which included the attempted rape of a baby.
Watkins was arrested after the execution of a drugs warrant at his Pontypridd home on 21 September 2012, when a substantial collection of electronic devices including computers, phones and drives were taken as evidence.
